So my friend at the LQS told me to use 505 Spray baste twice - once on the fabric, once on the batting - and it worked! Usually Spray Baste doesn't work on Fleece cause the fleece doesn't take the stickyness but spraying both I had no problem at all. I used the large quilting needle that I saw recommended somewhee - mine was a 75 - and I used large stitches. I forgot I have a dual feed stitch in the ditch foot but I did okay with just my quilting foot. And the back is flat flat
I have to say after 8 years of quilting this is the best quilt I've made to date. Even my corners on the binding turned out nicely.
I've been visibly absent for a couple of reasons. Mostly cause I'm playing Farm Ville on Facebook and it's terribly addicting. The craft group at the church has declared me "wonderful" so I've been given more projects to sew. If I'm wonderful makes you wonder what the others do with a sewing machine *LOL* Now they all want to learn to quilt. I can't do long days but I could do 2-3 hour workshops to get them started I suppose. We'll see what comes of it.

That looks so cool, Shirley!! You did a great job. I'm glad quilting the fleece back wasn't a terrible experience...I'll have to try to remember those tips (or just remember to ask you when I need them, lol)
You sound so happy ,the quilt turned out great
So did you feed your crops today ,LOL no I don't play the game .My sister in-law drove me crazy with it , have fun .
Shirley,
I'm thinking I might send you some Adelaide Crows (Aussie Rules footy team ) fabric, and you can whip me up something like this...
I've been talking about making a crows quilt for years and it just never happens , but yours is so pretty. Great job! Isnt it great to be stoked about a perfect finish! Possibly I have been inspired...finally.
My sister plays farmville all the time, and keeps trying to get my involved. I lack the commitment required to play ongoing games.
That is a cool quilt Shirley .
Great job! I know how nervous you were about the quilting, but it looks fantastic! Good for you! :o)
Congratulations! The quilt looks great. I had the same reservations about putting Minkee fleece on the back of my comfort quilt. 2 different quilt shop owners warned me it might be "difficult". The spray baste made all the difference, and it wasn't that difficult. Karen
