I've seen so many cute ones, especially here at Fabric.com I don't know if these are on sale but they're a lot cheaper than the other stores. I got 3 Cookie jar ones on eBay for 3.99.
I'm also making some tissue cozies. I like this pattern because I can make it with a different inside fabric that compliments the outside fabric. She has changed the way she wrote the tutorial. It looks like there is no photo on the first page but just click on "get pattern" to get her template - I actually made mine a different size. Mine is 7" x 8.5". Then go back to the first page again and click "Enter Gallery" to find the instructions.
All through the meeting they kept handing things to me saying "Shirley can make a pattern for these". Boy they have a lot of confidence in me and they hardly know me really. I'm not proud of the stuff I put together quickly for the last bazaar. I know I can make patterns but I don't have a lot of self confidence. Anyway they handed me a sleeping mask and thats an easy one. I just traced it. I had already figured out how to do it but if you want instructions I found a series of videos here. The only thing I'm going to do differently is make the elastic in two pieces and attach velcro to it so the size is adjustable.
I'm having a hard time with my internal clock these days. I just can't get to sleep at night before 2am no matter how early I go to bed. Then I set my alarm for 9:00 but with my husband having sleeping problems (he's still up 3 or so times a night) I don't want it to wake him cause he does seem to sleep well in the morning after he's had breakfast. I think the solution would be for me to sleep in the guest room til I get turned back around but he doesn't want me to. Geesh. So here I sit at 12:30 in the afternoon still in my PJ's and having gotten nothing done but a blog entry. So I'm gonna go get dressed now and try to ignore sewing so I can tidy up around here a bit.

I know how you feel with your sleep problems I found it helps if I set my alarm ( ok 3 alarms ) for 7:30 regardless of what time I go to sleep I still get up at that time .Now DH was turning them off on the weekend ( his only chance to sleep in ) he didn't want me sleeping in the spare room either so he now leaves my alarms alone and wakes me if I turn them off .
Your gift idea's are great I'm sure you will sell lots .
I've been catching up on your blog, but I'm too lazy to comment on each post. In fact, today I just feel plain old lazy. I hope it passes. Sorry to hear you aren't sleeping well. Cute projects you've been making for bazaar. Thanks for the movie suggestions - I'm going to find them on Netflix now!
:( I must to a dill as I BOUGHT the some Advent calender. The lady just gave me a little 9 to stitch on.I am plesed thought that you got it for free for the bazaar.
I am so lucky as I sleep well but as there are not enough hours in the day I do stay up late.
Enjoy the weekend Shirley.
That advent calendar is cute! I sometmes have trouble sleeping too. When I need it, I take a benadryl (1/2 the recommended dose) or an advil PM if I have some aches/pains. It helps me get a good night's sleep. I don't like to do it too often, but it helps when I need it.
Love the advent calendar.. Seems we all have sleeping issues.. Maybe it's our age or all that creativity in us not wanting to sleep..Hope you get some good rest soon.
Love the Advent calendar! I'm sure that will be a good seller at the Bazaar!
