We've had a beautiful day here for a change, sunny, no wind, 10C. So when I thought about going to the store to get stuff for dinner I asked myself what I'm doing driving everywhere when the store is just right there.... 1/2mile away. Oh, and if I'm going out anyway I should go across the street to the other mall and do this and that. Upshot is I walked for 2 hours straight at my fastish pace and now I'm exhausted.
I should have known better. I've been off my walking routine lately so I need to build up slowly again. I was so tired that I felt like I kept walking and walking and nothing was getting any closer, like I was just walking on the spot. Wonder what my legs are going to feel like tomorrow. My knees kept giving out and wanting to lock.
Okay, off to get dinner started now. At least I'm making stew so once I get the meat on it simmers for 1 1/2 hours so I can take a break.

I love that photo its so cute.Your right start slow with your walking .I keep saying I'm going to get back into it but the car just seems to call my name each time I go out .
I wish it was still nice enough here to take walks! It is supposed to snow here tomorrow! BBBRRR!
I applaud you for the good idea to do more walking. I suppose moderation is a good thing for anything we do, except quilting, of course!!
Good for you! Not only your body bur your environment will thank you.
That is the cutest photo, I guess that was sort of like how you felt. Gee, I hope your ok tomorrow. I would love to walk like that but here there isnt' anything to walk to, gotta drive. I do park far away so I can walk when I go to town though. Hope your stew was good.
That is the cutest picture! I have been doing a lot better with walking since we got the dog, but it was something we BOTH had to work up to. Hope you're not too sore tomorrow.
Hope you are not too sore tomorrow. Just returned from my daily half hour walk, beautiful day here too, but it is suppose to change tomorrow. When the sidewalk is piled high with snow and slippery, I do my walk at our local arena, which has a walking track. Patricia
I've been swimming 3-4 days a week for 1 hr but I hope your not sore tomorrow.
Hi Shirley, love the photo I can so relate come January 1 that is probably how I will look lol.
I went out to do my usual walk this morning (-27C) yikes I ventured out to the corner, the fronts of my legs already frozen...I should have know when the dog I walk didn't want to come!!
