People don't have central air conditioning here cause it's never really hot enough to need it. By the weekend they're expecting rain again. I hate to say I'm looking forward to it after complaining so much this Spring... but I've changed my mind about heat. I like warmth, I don't do well in heat. Luckily my sewing room is on the bottom level of the house and it stays cool down there even in this heat so I may have to go nose around down there and see what I can do. Don't feel like sewing but I could fondle my stash or something *LOL*
DH has been working hard fixing up the boat he bought. He can't just buy things and enjoy them, he has to tinker. A lot of tinkering was necessary on this one, which is why we got it so cheap, but he always overdoes so insisted it needed new seats. The new ones do look more comfortable I suppose. It is a 1976 original, which come to think of it our daughter is too although I think she fared better than the boat over the years.
Here are before and after photos. He's painted the floor too.
He also fixed the wiring and sanded and shined up all the aluminum parts.
And named it. Caelig is Scottish Gaelic for Young Lass
Today I am grateful for fresh drinking water straight out of the tap. There aren't many places aside from North America where our tap water is safe for drinking.

I think the heat is hitting all areas, even those normally free of such concerns. Glad your sewing room is in a cooler area, at least you can stitch a bit! Hubby sounds quite talented and the boat looks super! I'm sure you can hardly wait to pack a picnic and feel some cool breezes out on the water! Clean water from the tap is a delight, isn't it! We are so lucky!
It's 95 F here today and tomorrow, then we'll be getting back to low/mid 80's. Can't complain cause I think the east coast is really getting hit much more with the heat. I'd be happy if it was 75-78 all year round. Looks like DH did a great job on that boat!
We've had this heat for days , they say one more day then we'll get rain and it will be sunny and cooler for the weekend .I sure hope so ,this is just to much.
Even though I don't go near the water thats one snappy boat ,enjoy .DH is doing a great job .
Wow, the boat is looking good!
We do take things like clean drinking water for granted, don't we? Good thing to be thankful for!
DH has done a wonderful job on the boat. Hope you get it in the water soon and have many hours of plesure in her.
Here on the block we have to supply our own rain water which is beautiful to drink.
If you can drink water out of the tap--I will be right up!!!! I have to drink distilled water--at least I can have it delivered to the apt!!!
Wow--what a change on the boat--are you sure it is the same boat???
DH has outdone himself!!
Hot--yep--but in a month or two we will saying it's too cold--sooooo!!!
Hugs, Di (LOL)
You are just having a little taste of one of our Kansas summers. I hope it cools off for you soon. Your hubby is like mine. Buy a new "toy" and then just fix it up. I don't think my hubby is happy unless he is fixing some thing. Stay hydrated!
