I love vintage things so decided to join in Suzannes Vintage Thingie Thursdays. Visit her site here http://coloradolady.blogspot.com/2009/07/vintage-thingies-thursday-just-because.html and join the fun. Or just go and click on the links to see other vintage posts. My first vintage thing is a toy car that belonged to my father. It wasn't a childhood toy. It was given to him sometime in the 1940's because he drove a 1929 Model T - much to my horror when I got old enough to realize no one else was driving something that old in the 1950's! This is a Model A, not a Model T but it's really neat. My mom gave it to me about 20 years ago so I'd have a remembrance of my dad. I'm glad she did cause it's about the only thing I have. I keep it on my bedside table.

What a treasure! I can relate, with having so few things of my Dad's. Thanks for sharing!
How very neat. I am glad that she gave it to you. That is way cool.
That is so cute! My mom always told me how she learned to drive on a Model A. Also told me how she was backing out of the garage, but wasn't in reverse and drove the car out through the front of the garage! Enjoy your treasure!
Cool I to have very few things of my dads but what I have I treasure .
As hazel says, I have just a few things of my dad's..but they are tiny treasures of his and I love them so. I love your little car, and I'm so glad your mom gave it to you.
