I'm Actually Home!

I'm home and sitting down to a big cup of my favorite coffee.

Okay, not that big of a cup. And ignore the french. My sister took my picture on the wrong side of the cup. It was at the dragon boat races in Ottawa. Even though we're officially a bilingual country not all of us speak or understand french.

I'm so proud of myself! I actually did both trips with very little problem. My doctor gave me 12 Ativan and I only needed to take 3 in 6 weeks. Now if we weren't flat broke from paying for all this I'd be raring to go somewhere else in the Fall. I'd like to go on an Alaskan cruise. My husband has been and it's beautiful. Oh well, maybe next year. At least now I have the confidence.

It was a fun and interesting trip but I'm glad to be home. The weeds around here are incredible! I'm the one who gardens so I have my work cut out for me. I've already started but have a ways to go yet. The weather is also astoundingly beautiful so I won't be inside quilting for awhile. I haven't even put my sewing machine back up since it was serviced in April.

So I have nothing quilty to show but next month is our annual quilt walk so I'm sure I'll have a few things to show then. I'm not entering anything cause I haven't finished anything this year. My New Years Resolution was to finish some stuff. I guess I still have 5 months left to do that.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your trip, and had medicine left over !! How great. When Jay want to go driving through the hills I still get nervous, and we've been here for 5 years. It's nice to have you back but I'm so glad you went and enjoyed it all. Welcome Home my friend 8>)

I'm glad you are back, I missed you! Oh Shirley, I am just pleased as punch you did so well on your trip!!!! You are exactly correct when you said the confidence will help you be able to go more places. As Dr. Seuss would say, "Oh, the places you'll go"....... :)

Last time I was in Ottawa was to bury my Mom in the National Military Cemetery....which is also a beautiful botanical garden. She was a RN in WWII serving for the Canadians in NewFoundland which was foreign soil at the time.
It is a beautiful little town and I did practice a bit of French while there :0).

Happy Sewing on those unfinished projects....which is what I am off to do :0)
